Workshop: Arm Balances for Beginners

The FUNdamentals and foundations of balancing on your hands.

Arm balances are empowering yoga postures that help us build strength, balance, confidence and concentration. They’re also fun and, let’s face it, they can look pretty cool too.

New to arm balances? No problem! This workshop is suitable for someone who’s simply curious, or for those of you who are ready for a new challenge. It’s an opportunity to bring a little playfulness to your practice and hopefully you’ll surprise yourself by what you can achieve in just a couple of hours.

Along with the actual arm balances, we'll also be covering:
- How to protect your wrists during your yoga practice.
- How to warm up, stretch, strengthen and generally prepare the body for arm balances.
- The alignment of the arms and shoulders in Chaturanga. Mastering this will be a great foundation for arm balances.
- How props can help you get in to position and hold the posture with more stability.

Please note that there are only 8 spaces available and so you're kindly requested to book and pay in advance to confirm your place. CHF 40 per person.

Please note that this workshop is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or who suffers from high blood pressure. As always, you must tell me if you have any injuries/medical conditions before the workshop starts.
